Graduate poster competition results announced

4 April 2006

Results have been announced for the 2006 UCL graduate student poster design competition.

Andrew King (UCL Anthropology) was judged the best entry from the category of 'Arts & Humanities, Laws and Social & Historical Sciences', Tom Dunkley Jones (UCL Earth Sciences) won from 'Built Environment, Engineering Sciences and MAPS', Ezat Sajedi (UCL Institute of Child Health) won in the 'Clinical Sciences' category. Each received £400. Ede Rancz and Allan Ponniah were joint winners in the 'Life Sciences' category, and were awarded £250 each. Ten runners-up across all four divisions each won £100.

The competition was held during March, when graduate students were invited to design a poster illustrating their research activities. The aim was to provide opportunities for advertising their interests and meeting other researchers. In all, 199 students took part, and their work was displayed in the North and South Cloisters.
