Open House London

14 September 2005

If you've ever wondered what lies behind those imposing columns on Gower Street, you can satisfy your curiosity on Saturday 17 September 2005.

UCL will be hosting guided tours round its historic campus, as well as its extensive collections and strange oddities such as the auto icon of UCL's spiritual founder, Jeremy Bentham.

Tours will run every half an hour between 10am and 4pm, and visitors will also be welcomed to UCL's award-winning Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology (10am-1pm), impressive UCL Art Collections and fascinating Grant Museum of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy, where children can participate in 'Humanimals,' a number of fun activities such as mask making that discover the links between us and the rest of the animal kingdom.

UCL's collections are open to the public throughout the year, and host a number of activities for both adults and children.
