IHMEC/Lancet Lecture 2005

The UCL International Health & Medical Education Centre/Lancet Lecture will be held on 14 October 2005 at 6pm at the Institute of Education, and given by Nobel Laureate Professor Daniel Kahneman (Princeton University).

The lecture, 'Progress in the study of wellbeing' will focus on the nature of wellbeing, including approaches to its measurement, its relation to health, and its distribution across social classes and over the continents. Professor Kahneman was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2002 for his work in economic sciences.

Following the lecture there will be a discussion between Professor Kahneman and Richard Horton, Editor of the Lancet, exploring the international health dimensions of Daniel Kahneman's research.

The lecture will then be followed by a drinks reception and poster presentation from 7.45pm-9pm.
