Any old iron?

22 July 2005

UCL staff can now trade their unwanted scientific equipment through REBAY, the UCL scientific equipment pinboard.

The central resource allows staff to unload any unwanted equipment that is using up essential work space. Additionally, there may be staff in other areas of UCL who will benefit from traded equipment.

Mr Alan Craig (Biochemical Engineering) came up with the concept. He said: "There is no longer a need to clutter spare space with unused equipment which may benefit someone else- just advertise it on REBAY. If you need to experiment but can't afford the equipment, try a wanted ad on REBAY."

REBAY is now live at the UCL staff pinboard, a facility for UCL staff to trade wares, organize sports or social groups and advertise accommodation, among other categories.
