Indian Ocean tsunami

UCL extends its sympathy to all of those affected by the recent Indian Ocean tsunami.

We are aware that many staff, students, alumni and prospective students have lived in or visited these areas, and have family and friends in these regions.

UCL's staff, and current or prospective students, can access information about the advice and support available from the university, by using the links at the top of this article.

Staff and students are invited to donate to the UK's Disaster Emergency Committee, by using the link at the top of this article.

UCL's Benfield Hazard Research Centre investigates forecasting and mitigating the effects of global geophysical events such as tsunami. To find out more about the centre's work, visit their website.
