Research Images as Art

6 December 2005

The Graduate School's annual 'Research Images as Art/Art Images as Research' competition and exhibition will be judged today.

The competition is open to all UCL graduate research students and academic staff, whether science- or arts-based.

Entrants are invited every year to submit images associated with their research that have aesthetic appeal. An exhibition of the images is held centrally in College and assessed by a panel of judges, chaired by Professor John Aiken, Director of the Slade School of Fine Art. Prizes are awarded to the best images.

Images in the 2005/2006 exhibition are on display in the South Cloisters until the evening of Wednesday 14 December 2005. Visitors to the exhibition will get the chance to vote for the 'People's Prize' awarded for their favourite image. The images will also appear in a gallery on the Graduate School website.
