Going the green mile

Transport for London and Camden Council are hosting a lunchtime event in UCL's Front Quad on 8th December 2005, between 11am and 3pm.

'Going the green mile' will give people the chance to try out alternative fuelled vehicles (ARVs) and learn how they can save money and reduce levels of noise and pollution.

The event will launch New Ride, an electric recharging and parking system that also acts as an information portal for electric vehicles. Many different types of vehicle will be on show at the event, including electric, LPG, hybrid cars and commercial vehicles, as well as electric scooters and bicycles.

Visitors to the event can also peruse information stands in the North Cloisters.
