Patagonia trek

26 April 2005

UCL's Brain Research Trust (BRT) has organised a trek through Northern Patagonia between 16 and 25 March 2006.

Northern Patagonia The money raised from the expedition will be used to help develop better treatments, surgical procedures and in some cases cures for neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, brain tumour, stroke and for trauma related to serious head injuries.

Northern Patagonia, which is home to the Andes, is known as 'Argentina's Lake District' and trekkers will be able to enjoy soaring peaks, glaciers, crystal clear lakes, ancient forests and crashing waterfalls in some of the wildest, most remote scenery on the South American continent.
