Students get skilful

Skills4Work, a joint initiative between UCL's Career Services and UCL Union, is hosting a number of workshops and events aimed at increasing the employability of UCL students.

The first major event, Careers in the City, is for students considering a career in banking, accountancy or management consultancy is on 8 November 2004. Interactive case studies will be presented after lunch by representatives from top finance companies, with the aim of helping students identify and develop useful skills.

Registration for this day is open, and will be followed by a similar event on 14 February 2005 for those interested in the creative and media fields.

In addition, some of the UK's top recruiters will be on hand to offer guidance at a number of skills workshops to be held throughout the year.
