New name for Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences

Professor Paul Bebbington, Head of the Department, said: "This renaming is a clearer reflection of the fields of research conducted within the department and is especially timely, considering the growing significance of mental health research and teaching within the clinical sciences."

The renaming comes shortly after the establishment of the Centre for Social & Behavioural in Sciences in Medicine, led by Professor Stanton Newman.
