Xiyi Li received his BSc degree in Applied Chemistry (Elite Chemistry Class) and MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from South China University of TechnologySCUTin 2016 and 2018, respectively. His research project was the development of MOF-based photocatalysts for various reactions (e.g., organic synthesis, photocatalytic degradation and CO2 reduction). He joined Solar Energy & Advanced Materials Research Group (Supervisor: Junwang Tang) at UCL Chemical Engineering in Sep. 2018 as a PhD student. He focuses on the photocatalytic conversion of methane to value-added C2+ products in a flow system using advanced materials (e.g., nanoclusters, nanoalloy). He joined Lan’s group in the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering (cooperated supervisor Yang Lan) in Mar. 2022 working on CO2 reduction over Cucurbit uril modified photocatalysts.
