E2DT conference in Palermo (AIDIC/EFCE)

Prof Marc-Olivier Coppens participated in the recent E2DT (International Conference on Energy, Environment & Digital Transition), held in Mondello/Palermo, and organised by AIDIC (Italian Association of Chemical Engineering) together with the EFCE.

There were excellent technical presentations from academia and industry related to the energy transition and environmental issues, with the aim to make manufacturing more sustainable, and reduce waste or turn it into a valuable resource, in the face of the acute pressures to address climate change and environmental pollution.

Marc-Olivier gave a plenary presentation on work in the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering (CNIE) at UCL Chemical Engineering, discussing the nature-inspired solution methodology and including recent examples related to catalysis, water, fuel cells, and CO2 electroreduction.
