Research

Dr. Riaz is a chemical engineer having significant experience in nanomaterials synthesis & characterization for variety of applications. His M.Phil. research work focused on design of novel graphene-based nano-porous sorbent material for environmental remediation, whereas his doctoral study focused on design of novel metal-carbon nanocomposite electrocatalysts for chemical sensors. His current research is focused on developing efficient electrolysers by innovative electrocatalyst/electrode designs that would allow the production of cheap and sustainable hydrogen at large scale and help us fight climate change by decarbonizing our energy infrastructure.
