After spending his Undergraduate years
at Oxford University, Sam went to Princeton University to work with
Prof. J. T. Groves before returning to Oxford to complete his Masters
in Chemistry with Prof. F. A. Armstrong. In 2006 Sam returned to his
spiritual home of Manchester to start his PhD.
As a member of the Crystal Growth ("Nanogrowth") Group Sam will also be
studying under Prof. Osamu Terasaki at Stockholm University using
High-Resolution Scanning Electon Microscopes and with Dr. Viveka
Alfredsson at Lund University using Transmission Electron Microscopes.
