Maryam was born in Tehran, Iran in 1982.
She graduated from UMIST with upper second class honours in chemical
physics in 2003. Maryam has completed two summer work placements with
Interpon, a subsidiary of Akzo Nobel. Maryiam has just completed her PhD thesis.
