Chin was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
in 1980. He graduated from UMIST with upper second class honours in
Chemistry in 2002. He is currently in the second year of his PhD
entitled "Atomic Force Microscopy and Modelling of Crystal Growth". In
2004 he was awarded an RSC bursary to present his work at the
Easter meeting of the RSC Solid State Chemistry Group in Oxford.
In his spare time he enjoys listening to music, going to the cinema and
playing badminton.
