Islamic Period Pottery

Large fragment of glazed dish with profile of rim to base. Rim is everted and base is flat. Body is very coarse, pale cream. Glaze (mainly opaque white) covers interior and ends in thick drips over rim. Coloured glaze (green, manganese and some yellow) forms decoration. Arabic writing in Kufic on rim, animal head with ears and foliage on interior base.
