Pottery in the Old Kingdom
Meydum ware
A very fine polished red ware, first recognised in excavation at Meydum; this ware was made in either Nile or marl clay.
Pottery of daily use
The ware is often rough (Nile fabric C). The pottery is often found at settlement sites, but also in tombs.
