Meydum (Medum, Meidum)

Meydum is the site of a cemetery from the beginning of the Fourth Dynasty (about 2600 - 2450 BC). At Meydum king Snefru (about 2600 BC) built the first "true" pyramid. The mastaba of Nefermaat is one of the largest private tombs of the Old Kingdom.
