Roman Period 'cosmetic trays': UC 2444

Decorated grey serpentine (or steatite) bowl with a scorpion in relief in the centre of the interior and incised concentric circles filled with radiating lines around it. The exterior also incised with a very low circular pedestal base. The edge of the low rim is chipped away on two sides.
