Abydos in the New Kingdom (about 1550-1069 BC): Wennefer

High Priest of Osiris in Abydos under Ramesses II, member of an influential family.
He was the son of the high priest of Osiris Mery and of a woman called Maiany. The son of Wennefer named Hori also became high priest of Osiris.
