Pottery in the Roman Period

'African Red Slip' ware was produced from about AD 60-90 in Northern Africa (modern Tunisia). In the First and Second century AD the pottery was only exported to other parts of North Africa, to Italy, Sicily and the coast of Spain and France. In the Fourth century AD the African workshops exported their products to most regions around the Mediterranean sea.
