Naukratis
(30°54' N 30°35'E)

This is the only Greek colony in Egypt, founded under the 26th Dynasty (664-525 BC). The city acted as trading post for the Greeks in Egypt. Many finds are purely Greek; some of them must have been imported, others were perhaps produced at Naukratis.
