Gerzeh (Girza)
(2927' N 3112'E)

A small predynastic cemetery (called G - about 3500 -3000 BC, Naqada II - III) named after a modern village.

Note: since the excavation of the cemetery, the name Gerzean Period has often been used for the Naqada II period of Egyptian prehistory, though the cemetery itself is not extensive - the term Naqada II is now in more general use.
