Music in ancient Egypt: musical instruments

Musical instruments and parts of instruments in the Petrie Museum. Most of them date to the New Kingdom or the Roman Period; some, such as UC 35805, are modern items acquired as parallels.

The first occurrence of important musical instruments in Ancient Egypt. The most important instruments are of course the human voice and the hands.
