Ptolemy (I) Soter (Ptolemaios I) 332-282 BC

General Ptolemy, son of Lagos ruled Egypt first as a governor for the kings of Macedon, and then from 306/5 BC (November 7) as independent king. The king made the cult of Sarapis the state cult.
