Art in Egypt under the Romans

There is an astonishingly wide range of styles, and of quality, in the art of Roman Egypt. Production of traditional Egyptian style objects continued. However, the production of Egyptian style stone sculpture (including relief) declined already in the first century AD. Egyptian style temple building persisted for much longer.
