Did you know that wasps purr? Or that they wag their bodies and tap their antennae to communicate? Wasps have surprisingly relatable social behaviours within their complex societies that are revealed in the world’s first exhibition centred on wasps.

On display are wasps and nest specimens from around the world showcasing the diversity of species and nest architecture, alongside a large-scale paper sculpture of a wasp's nest by artist Peter Ayres. Discover the construction secrets of these master builders, and in two VR creations from Datascape Realities, zoom inside a virtual wasp’s nest, and experience a wasp’s-eye view in a rewilded Grant Museum.
