Vanessa Diaz is the runner-up for the Marie Curie Prize 2014, awarded by the European Commission to the best researchers in Europe.  Dr. Diaz competed in the category 'Nurturing Research Talent' and was fighting competition from 56 candidates in the same category from all over Europe.

Dr. Diaz has been invited to attend the Prize ceremony during the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions 2014 Conference in Trento, Italy in November 2014
