MSSL have a range of ISO certified cleanrooms that are used for space flight hardware assembly, integration and test requirements under strict environmental control requirements (contamination, humidity, temperature, biological and electrostatic control).
This cleanroom is used for the assembly, integration of the most contamination sensitive space flight hardware. The cleanroom was also recently used as a bioburden controlled area for the ExoMars PanCam flight hardware.
The ISO 6 cleanroom houses the Optical Thermal vacuum test facility, the Low Energy Plasma Instrument calibration facility and the vacuum bakeout test facility.
