Laura teaches International Financial Reporting, Investigating Fraud and Accounting for Business in the Department of Management Science and Innovation. Laura has real enthusiasm for accounting and she endeavours to bring accounting to life for her students by focusing on real world cases and current issues in accounting in her teaching.
Laura’s research concerns the development and implementation of financial regulation. Laura’s current research focuses on corporate internal control systems and risk management. This research investigates how official guidance on internal control and risk management is designed, disseminated, implemented in practice and monitored.
