We are pleased to announce that in 2019 the DTP is able to offer three-year industrial CASE studentships, for start in September 2019. FOUR studentships are available.
Prospective students wishing to be considered for a specific CASE project should apply to the DTP using the standard application forms. The student should indicate on that form which CASE projects they would like to be considered for.
These studentships are subject to the same eligibility criteria that applies to other pathways through the DTP (see how to apply for more details).
What is an industrial CASE PhD?
Industrial CASE PhDs are projects run in collaboration with an industrial partner. The student applies to a specified project which has been created between an academic and industry partner. CASE PhDs include at the least the equivalent of a 3 month placement spent with the industry partner and offer a unique chance to work within industry on projects that are likely to have rapid impact, provide an experience of at least two distinct research cultures, and access to a wider than usual range of technology, facilities and expertise.
