How to Apply
We require a minimum of AAB at A-Level, including Biology and Chemistry.
More information on entry requirements, including equivalent IB scores and other international qualifications, can be found at our UCL prospectus pages for either our BSc or our MSci.
How to apply
Application for admission should be made through UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Applicants currently at school or college will be provided with advice on the process; however, applicants who have left school or who are based outside the United Kingdom may obtain information directly from the UCAS website.
What are we looking for?
We will assess your application on the basis of your performance, or predicted performance academically, but we will also be looking for an indication of your interest in medical sciences, your commitment to the programme and whether you have undertaken any research or reading to find out about the subject areas you wish to study.
Widening Participation
The Applied Medical Sciences team is serious about opening up Higher Education to people from all backgrounds. We are particularly keen to receive applications from students who attended non-selective state schools and/or whose parents did not go to university. UCL is a very welcoming community and we have dedicated transition mentors to help everyone adjust to university life, as well as lots of support available from the university and the students' union.
We believe financial worries should not put anyone off from applying to UCL. That's why UCL offers a generous set of bursaries, on top of the funding offered by the government. More information about funding your studies at UCL can be found at the UCL Scholarships and Funding website
