Programme Directors

Our programme directors are Professor Kevin Moore and Dr David Spratt

Professor Kevin Moore is Professor of Hepatology at UCL’s Institute for Liver and Digestive Health and a Consultant Physician at the Royal Free Foundation NHS Trust. He is the co-author of the Oxford Handbook of Acute Medicine, and is a keen advocate for clear simple scientific writing having been Associate editor of the high impact journals Gut, The American Journal of Pathology and Free Radical Biology and Medicine over the last ten years. Dr David Spratt is Reader in Microbial Ecology at UCL’s Eastman Dental Institute. Dr Spratt’s primary research interests revolve around population shifts in the human microbiome associated with polymicrobial disease. He has published extensively in such journals as Molecular Oral Microbiology, the Journal of Medical Microbiology, and the Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology.
