This course is run by UCL's Division of Medicine. It is part of the MSc in Eating Disorders and Clinical Nutrition but can also be taken as a standalone CPD module.

A five day course to help you prepare for a career in the eating disorders field.
University College London, Bloomsbury Campus
The classes are held on consecutive Wednesdays for 5 weeks, usually in November and December.
Exact dates have not yet been set for 2020/21.
Classes usually run from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
Fees for 2020/21 have not yet been published, please check back a little nearer the time.
You will learn about a wide range of topics including aetiological models, development, brain sciences, epidemiology.
You will also be taught about clinical features including psychological correlates and physical complications, as well as specialist topics such as pregnancy and motherhood, severe and enduring eating disorders.
You will complete a Multiple Choice Questionnaire examination at the end of the course. If you attend at least 80% of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance.
This course is for trainees and staff working in eating disorders services. If you would like to do this course you should have the following:
- a university degree
- a qualification in a mental health profession
- be working in a service that accepts patients with eating disorders.
Lecturers are drawn from eating disorders and medical/paediatric backgrounds and among them are some of the world’s leading authorities in their subjects.
Please note that you will not be able to apply or register for this course until Summer 2020.
