Professor in Human Nutrition, Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, Agricultural University of Athens, Greece / Honorary Professor in Division of Medicine, UCL

Title: "Dietary patterns and risk for cardiovascular diseases"

Professor Antonis Zampelas is Associate Professor of Human Nutrition in the Agricultural University of Athens and President of the Hellenic Food Authority. He received his BSc in Food Science from the Agricultural University of Athens, his MSc from the University of Reading, UK, and his PhD degree in Nutrition from the University of Surrey, UK. He worked for the University of Surrey and also as Senior Scientific Officer for the UK Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. His research interests are on diet, coronary heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
