Bridging the Division of Medicine and the Institute for Global Health at UCL, this Global NIHR award will enable John to develop and evaluate innovative strategies to better diagnose and treat chronic respiratory disease in the context of multi-morbidity, with international partners in Brazil.Professor John Hurst, NIHR Global Research Professorship

This NIHR award will enable us to take the MRI technologies that our team have been developing over the years for the assessment of prostate cancer into clinical practice. These techniques will help reduce unnecessary biopsies in men suspected of prostate cancer, refine screening tests to help detect disease in the community, and have the potential to inform prognostication of detected cancers.Shonit Punwani, Professor of Magnetic Resonance and Cancer Imaging and Consultant Radiologist at UCLH
