We are delighted to announce that dentist Asim Mahmood was the proud recipient of the annual Prestige Dental Prize in December, having been deemed the best performing student on the Postgraduate Certificate element of the MSc in Restorative Dental Practice.

Deputy Programme Director Dr Neil Nathwani said: “We have been very pleased with Asim's all-year-round performance and are delighted that he will be continuing on the diploma stage of the course..

“Asim is very happy about receiving his prize – a Denar Mark 2 articulator provided by sponsor Prestige Dental and feels the articulator will greatly help him with his cases in practice and help provide high-quality dentistry.”

The MSc in Restorative Dental Practice is a part-time, four-year programme that enhances students’ ability to provide high-quality and comprehensive restorative management for the majority of patients.

Students on the Certificate programme attend part time for a year whilst in practice and work on simulated phantom heads and models in a number of modules in restorative dentistry and have a number of assessments throughout the year.

They are taught with new materials and evidence based techniques by highly recognised specialists in their field.
