Congratulations to Professors Nigel Hunt and Susan Cunningham who both received awards at the recent British Orthodontic Society Consultant Orthodontist Group Symposium at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
Professor Hunt was awarded the prestigious Clifford Ballard Medal for outstanding services to orthodontics and Professor Cunningham was the first female to deliver the annual Ballard Lecture.
These awards were particularly special because Clifford Ballard was formerly Professor of Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute.
UCL Eastman Director, Professor Stephen Porter, said: "This is a wonderful reflection of the skills, industry and insight of Professors Cunningham and Hunt.
"Very many congratulations to Sue and Nigel."
Professor Hunt recently became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England; while in 2016 Professor Cunningham received a Provost’s Excellence Award for her exceptional contribution to the university.
