We are delighted that Senior Lecturer, Lambis Petridis, was a recipient of an Eastman Dental Hospital Star Award earlier this month.
The awards, in their second year, recognise individuals who are giving over and above what is expected on a day-to-day basis to maintain excellent patient care and support their colleagues.
Lambis won the ‘Improving’ category for his work in advancing the quality of treatment of patients in the Prosthodontic department.
This has included developing a new protocol to ensure patients have a seamless transition when being treated by different graduate students; significantly reducing the time they wait to complete their complex treatment.
EDI Director Stephen Porter said: “Lambis is a methodical, reliable and enthusiastic member of staff, who epitomizes the core values of UCLH – safety, kindness, teamwork and improvement.
“Many congratulations to him and all our staff who work so hard to improve the oral health of our patients.”
