A collaborative paper has been published in Progress in Materials Science (impact factor 27.4) by researchers at the Eastman Dental Institute and Dankook University.
The paper details the use of the sol-gel method (a wet chemical process to produce glass and ceramics at relatively low temperature).
The large paper reviews their rapidly expanding use in a wide range of biomedical areas, such as tissue engineering and also areas such as theranostics.
