Both the Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health & Performing Arts Medicine programmes at UCL will be holding a joint Open Day for prospective students on Wednesday 13th April 2016, 16:00-18:00. This will be held at our teaching facilities at the Institute of Sport, Exercise & Health, Seminar Rooms 1 and 2.

Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health

The course delivers a thorough understanding of the key areas of sport and exercise medicine, namely diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal and sports injuries; exercise physiology; working with sports teams and at sporting events; and the promotion of physical activity to prevent and treat chronic disease. 

Both the MSc and PG Diploma programmes can be studied via traditional campus-based tuition or online distance-learning, and can be taken either full-time over one year or part-time from two to five years.

Performing Arts Medicine

Performing Arts Medicine is a unique specialised field attracting interest from a variety of medical specialists and health practitioners worldwide who wish to include assessment and management of performers in their work. The curriculum includes key areas relating to performance related musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injury, performance psychology, prescribed and non-prescribed medication, the disabled performer, travelling and touring, the science of dance and music performance and clinical management of the professional voice.

The MSc / PG Diploma /PG Certificate is a campus-based course, and can be taken either full-time over one year or part-time over two years.
