We are very pleased to have confirmed our position as a world-leading academic centre for dentistry and allied subjects in this year QS World university subject rankings.
The rankings indicate that EDI is 8th in the world in the subject area, having risen from 13th in 2015.
In addition, the recent RAND citation analysis indicates that UCL* is second in world-leading publications in the UK while our Trust (by virtue of our collaborations between the Eastman Dental Institute and Hopistal is top.

“These successes are down to their industry and commitment to our mission to promote oral health and wellbeing by advancing knowledge of the causes of orofacial disease”
EDI currently has over 370 taught degree students enrolled on 23 programmes of study and over 80 research postgraduates; we employ over 120 staff including more than 50 academics and teaching fellows.
