UCL Eastman’s Dr Adam Roberts has been announced as one of three new advisors to the Longitude Prize. The Prize is a challenge with a £10 million fund to help solve the problem of global antibiotic resistance.
As one of a group of global experts, Adam will advise on the development and delivery of the prize.
Adam said: “I am delighted to be a part of this vital initiative. The rate at which pathogens are becoming resistant to antibiotics is unsettling to say the least. With so few useful drugs in the doctor’s cabinet, the hunt for alternatives must be prioritised and funded.”
