A new AI-assisted hearing device inspired by the human cochlea could advance hearing aid technology, offering improved sound and direction recognition.

Dr Veeru Kasivisvanathan, UCL Researcher and Urological Surgeon (UCLH), has been recognized by the European Association of Urology (EAU) with the Crystal Matula Award for his remarkable achievements in advancing prostate cancer research.

Dean of UCL's Faculty of Medical Sciences, Professor Mark Emberton has been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2021 with an OBE for services to prostate cancer research.

Prostate cancer is usually diagnosed using a series of tests, often including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). However, not all prostate tumours are visible on MRI scans.
