About the event
Join us in person to meet academics and current students, ask questions, and gain real insight into the programme. Network over refreshments, learn what it takes to succeed, and decide if it’s right for you.

Who the event is for
This event is suitable for:
- UCL students currently in MBBS Year 3 (IBSc) who are considering applying for 2027 entry
- UCL students currently in MBBS Year 4 who are interested in pursuing a project in renal medicine or systemic autoinflammatory disorders. We have fully-funded projects in those two areas which begin on 1st October 2026.
- UCL students currently in MBBS Years 1 and 2 who wish to get a feel for the programme with a view to applying in the future
Speakers and hosts
Professor Reza Motallebzadeh, Director UCL MBPhD programme and Professor of Renal Transplantation;
Dr Sarah Martin, Head of Academic Programmes, The Francis Crick Institute
Dr Daniyal Jafree, UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, Development Biology and Cancer Research and former MBPhD student.
There will also be a talk from a current student on the course.
