Stanmore Campus
Some of the teaching and research activity of the Research Department of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science takes place at the Stanmore Campus.
Maps & Getting here
You can find maps and detailed information about how to get to the Stanmore Campus on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital website.
The Wood Lane entrance (opposite the entrance to the Aspire Leisure centre) offers a short-cut to Stanmore tube station - though it can be muddy, depending on the weather.
Library
The Stanmore Campus Library is situated on the first floor of the Sir Herbert Seddon Teaching Centre (Building 5, E9 on the campus map).
The friendly team are always happy to help students and staff with all library matters, from using and finding library resources to inter library loans, good referencing guidelines, open access publishing etc.
The library also offers good spaces for private and group study. It is equipped with PCs with RNOH & UCL network access and has a bookable meeting pod.
Basilian
The Basilian café is located on the first floor of the Aspire Leisure Centre (Building 47, D4) for the best barista-made coffee on campus, as well as a selection of tasty meals and snacks. This offers access to the Aspire Charity offices to one side and the viewing gantry for the sports hall.

Broccles
The hospital canteen (Building 12, C7) serves good solid meals and a range of sandwiches and salads to eat in the restaurant or take away.
RNOH shop
Sandwiches and snacks are available to buy from the RNOH shop located in the outpatients' reception (Building 41, D5).
Vending machines
For emergency sustenance when you're working late, you can always grab something from the vending machines located in the main entrance of the Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science (Building 6, D8).
UCL kitchen and common room
You're welcome to use the facilities in the UCL Kitchen and Common Room, which include a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine, tables chairs and TV. It's a popular place to hang out and mingle with students from the other courses. You'll find it in towards the rear of the Institute (Building 6, D8).
Stanmore Broadway
Stanmore Broadway is the closest shopping area and has a range of shops for all your daily needs, including a Sainsbury's supermarket, a post office and a Boots pharmacy, as well as several coffee shops and restaurants.
Volunteering on Campus
Spend some of your free time volunteering for a great way to help society and to add to your CV. There are plenty of volunteering opportunities based on and around campus to suit your availability, from driving visitors around campus in special electric buggies to hospital radio.
Barbara Bus Fund
The Barbara Bus Fund helps wheelchair users who find it impossible to travel on public transport and hard to transfer to a car or taxi. They're always looking for friendly and reliable volunteer drivers to take people out in their range of specially adapted vehicles.
