Every student is assigned a Personal Academic Tutor. You can check the name of your Personal Academic Tutor in ASR.
- In Years 1-2, you will be assigned a Personal Academic Tutor, who will take you through the two years. They provide support to help you achieve your academic and personal potential.
- In Year 3, your iBSc will provide you with a Personal Academic Tutor.
- In Years 4 - 5, you will be assigned a new Personal Academic Tutor, who will be a doctor at your placement site in Year 4.
- In Year 6, you’ll be at your DGH and your Educational Supervisors will be able to help with any pastoral needs. You may also contact your Personal Academic Tutor from Year 5 or the Programme and Progression Support Team for help and support.
We’ve developed a layered support system so that we can provide appropriate support and advice, no matter your needs. If you’ve got an issue that touches on the regulatory side of the MBBS, or there is serious concern about your wellbeing, your personal academic tutor will discuss a referral to the Programme and Progression Support Team with you and recommend the most appropriate MBBS Tutor to take forward your options.
