What is MBBS Student Support and Personal Tutoring?
Every medical student has a personal tutor. As a UCL medical student, we recognise that you may find yourself facing all sorts of pressures and challenges navigating a long programme of study, especially with extensive placements in clinical environments. Our friendly team is here to help you through the good times and bad. We offer:
- Pastoral support
- Academic support and study skills
- Careers advice
- Advice about financial support
- Directions to the most appropriate contacts in the university for further support
How can I get in touch with my personal tutor?
Your personal tutor is assigned to your in the ASR (Academic Student Record). You can log in and view their name and contact details, and any notes of previous appointments that have been made in ASR. If you're still not sure who your personal tutor is, please get in touch.
Where can I get more specific advice on the course and MBBS regulations?
Our Programme and Progression Support Team can provide support and advice on specific areas of the course and the regulations. This includes health concerns impacting your studies, extenuating circumstances, interrupting your studies, and more. Your personal tutor may refer you to the team for further advice, or you can contact them directly at medsch.mbbstutors@ucl.ac.uk.
