What happens when I speak to an MBBS Tutor?
Please see our helpful guide below to find out what happens when you speak to an MBBS Tutor for support and advice.

How to book
Most tutors can be booked by contacting the team. To self-book an appointment:
- Follow the relevant tutor’s link from the list and check a tutor’s availability.
- Select a time that suits you and click ‘confirm’.
- Fill in your details, select the appointment type, and give a brief reason for the appointment so that the tutor can be prepared ahead of the meeting.
- Hit ‘schedule event’, and you’re done!
A calendar invite will be sent to you. Appointments will last for 20 minutes and can be face to face or online via Teams.
Cancellation Policy
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or amend an appointment so that the slot can be made available to another student in good time. Failure to do so will result in a DNA (‘Did Not Attend’) notification and a possible compulsory appointment. Repeated absences will lead to a CoAE.
Appointment records
Notes from all appointments are emailed to you after the appointment and made available to you in the Academic Student Record (ASR), as a reminder of the agreed plan of action and/or relevant contact details. This note is retained in ASR but will not be shared outside of the Programme and Progression Support Team without your permission, unless it relates to Fitness to Practise issues.
